Important Land Sale

For many years it has been the ardent desire of many well-wishers of the town of Feilding that the reserve in its centre . should be opened for sale in order to permit ot the proper development of this prosperous and rising capital of the finest , district in the whole colony. The directors of the Colonists' Land and Loan Corporation, Limited, have now decided to do so, and in consequence of such decision have cut up the block into suitable building sections and placed it in the bands of Messrs Gorton and Son and Messrs Free^ man E. Jackson and Co., to be sold by public auction, at the auction mart of Messrs Gorton and Son, Feilding, on Wednesday, March 29. Lithograph plans will be issued shortly, in order that intending buyers may be made fully acquainted with the relative positions of the several sections. The terms of sale are most liberal, viz., ten per cent on the fall of the hammer, ten per cent in three months, the balance, if desired by the purchaser, to remain on mortgage for five years at the low rate of six per cent. Full particulars can be ascertained from Mr Giesen, at the office of the Colonists' Land and Loan Corporation in Feilding, at Messrs Levin and Co.'s, Wellington, and at the respective offices of the several auctioneers.
