■ ♦ A meeting of the shooting committee of the Manchester Rifles was held last night at Mr Bray's office. It was decided to make arrangements with the Rangitikei Cavalry to fire a friendly match on Wednesday, February 15, at Bulls, if that date was convenient for the cavalrymen, at the 200 and 300 yards ranges, five Bhots with each arm (carbine and rifle) and no sighters. Corporal G. Saywell was elected secretary. The ranges for the next match for the New Zealand Clothing Factory's trophy were appointed to be 300 and 600 yards, 10 shots at each range. The following are the handica.ps for Lieut. Kirton's and Mr Magee's caedals, to be fired for on Wednesday, Ist February : — Corporal Saywell, Sergt. Saywell, and Vol Scott, scratch ; Vols Parker and Stevens, 2 points ; Vols T. Evans and J. Evans, 8 points ; Corpl Aitken an 5 Sergt Petherick, 7 points ; Vols Ploasants, Dougherty, Burlace, and Robinsien, 10 points ; Sergt Gould and Vol Taylor, 16 points ; Vols Boyd, Gunderson, Humphrey, McFarlane, and Newuian, 20 points; Sergt Milson, Vols Bleakley, Boddy, Fenwick, Groves, Fisher, Matravers, McLeod and Bugler Bellve, 25 points.
