[Per Press Association, j Dunkdin, January 25. The quarterly communication of the Grand Masonic Lodge of New Zealand was held last evening at tlu» Hiram Masonic Hall, Cavershain. Some 115 representatives were present, members of the Craft coming from all parts of the Colony. Among the Grand LoJye officers present were — The Grandmaster, Bro M. Niccol (Auckland); PG.M.Bro H. Thomson (Christchuroh) ; D.GAI.. Uro A. K'ivp (Christchurch), and P.DG.M. Bro E. T. Gillon (Wellineton). The roll of lodges showed 86 holding under the Graud Lodtce. A telegram was received from Auckland asking for n charter for a new lodge, to be called the Auckland Lodge. This was granted. The quarterly roport of the Board of Benevolence showed a credit balance of -fc'42l. The report was adopted. The Grand Lodge closed at 11 p.m. and the brethren adjourned to a banquet. In replying to the roast of W.M., Grand Master M. Nicol said he had never anticipated they would suoceed as tlje.y had done in such a short time. They had now HQ lodges under their charter working together harmoniously, and all were e.otive and prosperous.
