• Messrs Abraham aud Williams report as follows : — At our Pahuerston sale on Thursday large entries of both cattle and sheep came forward. Cattle maintained their position well, but sheep were dull of sale, and in some cases vendors had to reduce their reserves or take back the sheep. The following prices were realised :— Cattle— Forward bullocks, £6 to £6 3s ; 2£ and 3- year steers, £4 IPs ; ISmonths to 2-year steers, £3 5$ to £3 14s ; fat cows, f 5 to £5 4s ; forward cows, £4 10s ; cows and calvos, £5 6s ; heifers in calf, £4 10s to £5 Is ; cows in calf, £4 5s to £4 10s; 18-months heifers, £2 17s to £3 7s 6d ; weavers, 33s to 37s 6d ; bulls, £3 5s to £4 2s 6d. Sheep— Fat wethers, 12s ; fat ewes, 9s 7d to 10s fid ; forward wethers, 10s to 11s; 2-tooth wethers, 9s 10d to 9s ltd ; 2 and 4 -tooth Romney ewes, 12s 6d ; others, oa to 8s ; woolly lambs, 6s 4d to 7s Id.
