Anniversary Day
Monday next being the anniversary of the province will be kept as a general holiday. Pleasure seekers will iind plenty of choice provided for their amusement in this neighbourhood. Racegoers are catered for at Foxton, where a capital day's sport should resuit, as tho acceptances for the various events are very good and this meeting is always anticipated with pleasure. At Palmerstou and Wanganui, sports are to be held, and as the programmes for both places are good, and the amount of money given away is considerable, large numbers of people may bo expected to avail themselves of tho clicap fares to both towns. The special train lUTimgements are duly acherfcfsed in another column.
