Palmerston Hospital Board

j Per Press Association.] I'almeuston. This Day. At the mooting of the Hospital Board this morning all tho members were present except Mr Lechbridge. Mr Grant, chairman of the Manawatu Road Board, was also present. The latter read a letter from Inspector McGregor asking for information as to the manner in which tho election was held at Foilding by Mr Bray, and from the latter forwarding particulars. The Board's Secretary had written to the Inspector giving the information, and adding that he was informed tho electiou bad been mado by each nomination being put to tho meeting separately. Mr Donald Grant protested ugainsjl the manner in which the election was conducted by Mr Bray, which he said was entirely illegal, and that no election had taken place. Unless the Board took some stops to remedy the matter he would proceed in a court of law to upset the matter. Some heated discussion ensued in the course of which Mr T. It. Taylor stated Mr Ravenhill could have nominated Mr Grant but ho preferred asking bis friends to nominate himself. This Mr Ravenhill characterised las an absolute falsehood. Eventually the Board declined to interfere. Mr Grant stated his intention of contesting the ejection. Cobbo and Darrngh have bought a big lot of English samples of summer hosiery, which they have inarmed at a very small adran.cc on landed cost. — Ad.
