♦ (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, December 30 At the second wool sale this afternoon the catalogue comprised 443 lots, representing about 2000 bales, and was offered to a considerably increased attendance of local and Home buyers. The competition for all better quality of wools was keen and compared mora than favorably with recent uu vices from London. Prices for better qualities ragged from 7d to 7|d per lb for crossbred, "and sid to 6£d for medium. Log stained was extremely difficult to sell, the best prices being 4d to 5-Jd ; lambs' wool fetched up to 7^d per lb.
