The weather was fine but windy for to-day's races and the attendance wai much larger than yesterday. The following are the results up to the time of our going to dress: — ' • 1. Time, 8 mins 7£ sees. 2. To start at 12.45 — Second Hack Hurdles, of 20 sots ; oTer sir flights of hurdles ; nomination 10s ; acceptence 10s ; one mile and a quarter. 48 Mr J. Kennedy's Respond, 9-7 ... 1 (Laing) 26 F Wellsman'o Allegretto, 9-0 ... 2 (Redmond) Mr J. A. Goodfion's Bradshaw, 11-0... 8 (Galbraith) Also started— Nat, Sister, Marama, Shan, Tironngi, Quiz. Respond assumed the lead on passing the stand and held it to the finish, winning easily. On the totalisator, LB6l. Dividend, L6 18s. Time, 2 mins 82 2. 5 sees. A protest was ledged against Bespond for inconsistent running but was dismissed. > 3. The horses raced in a bunch till half the distance, when Sunbeam -began to show forward, followed by Rangipubi. Won easily by a length and a half. On L564. Dividend, L6. Time, 2 mins 19 1-6 sees. .
