TMb match took place last Satnrday on the ground of the Manchester Club, Owing to the wet weather, a start was not made until after one- o'clock, when Feilding went in to bat, and compiled 124 runs before the last wicket fell, Tompkins with 38 and Lance 39 being the chief scorers. Carnarvon Only put together 44, go suffered defeat by 80 runs. The bowling of the Carnarvon team was very weak. Tompkins and Lance' were the heroes of the day, as in addition to soonng the bulk of the runs for Feilding, they accounted for all their opponents wickets.
