Feildmg Races
Given fine weather, there is every probability of the races to-morrow and Thursday turning out a great success. Many of the horses have already arrived, up to the time of our going to press, and several more are expected in the morning. The fields are likely to be large, Mr Henry has been most successful in his handicapping, and .winners will be very difficult to spot. The course is in splendid order. It only remains for Captain Edwin to be merciful in his weather forecast and a splendid meeting is assured. We hope that the enterprise of tbe FeildI ing Jockey Club may be rewarded with a good attendance of the sporting com» mumty. Owners have liberallj responded to tho satisfactory programme placed before them, and it only remains for the public to do their part in making the meeting one of the best ever held on this coast. _^__^____^__
