LATER PARTICULARS.

Lisbon, October 31. . The steamer Roumania lost her course in the fog and struck the rocks broadside on about one thousand yards from the shore. Almost instantly a fearful sea swept the whole of the officers off the bridge and carried away the boats. The scene that followed was beyond description, and the Lascars becoming panic stricken were of no use iv attempting to save life. As the passengers gained the deck in seeking to reach the bridge, thej were swept overboard, while others were drowned in their cabins. Most heroic attempts were made by husbands to save their wives, but without avail. The shore is strewn with bodies of women and children.
