Aratika School Examination
+ The Aratika school, Midland road, Manchester block, was examined in standards by Inspector Spencer on 30th September, with the following results .— - Standard IV.— Presented 5, absent 2, failed 1, passed 2— Albert Brown, Robert Gray. Standard lll:— Presented L, failed 1. Standard ll.— Presented 7, failed 1. passed 6— John Brown, Minnie Lynch. Agnes Lynch, Frances Gray, Elsie Curtis Ethel Young. Standard I.— Presented 4, failed 1, exceptedl, passed 2— Sydney Grey, Lily Young. Percentage of passes on roll numbers, 384; on number presented. 71/5. The Inspector remarks that the school has worked under most unfavourable conditions, and that considering the lim» ited room and the absence of school conveniences the work is very creditable. Oral work was a very pleasing feature. Fupils were bright, eager to answer and honest in endeavonr. The oral work in drawing and in object lessons was excellent.
