Feilding and Oroua County Cricket Clubs
The annual general meeting of this club was held at Mrs Ha9tie's Hotel last night, when the following gentlemen were present '.—Messrs F. Y. Lethbridge (Chairman), Hill, J. Fowles, Rutherford, Baillie, Strachan, Clayton, Bryce, Lance, Leyett, and Dr Sorley. Proposed by Mr Levett, seconded by Mr Lance, That Mr G. Lethbridge be appointed Secretary and Treasurer ; and that the annual subscription be lOs-. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Lance, seconded by Mr Baillie, That Mr F. Y. Lethbridge be the President of the Club.— Carried. Proposed by Mr Levett, seconded by Mr Lance, that Mr "Sherwill be vicepresident.—Carried. Proposed by Mr Leyett, seconded by Mr Lance, that Messrs Baillie, Hill, and Rutherford, constitute the Match Com' mittee, and that Messrs Fowles, and Lnnce form the Working Committee.- - Carried. Resolved. That tlie Club's colours be old gold and black. Proposed by Mr Fowles, seconded by Mr Baillie, that the opening match be played on Wednesday the 2nd proximo, against the Manchester Club on the ground of the latter <'lub. — Carried A rote of thanks to the Chairman closed the proceedings.
