A resident of Otautau named Cough* len, was handling a revolver, not known to be loaded, when it wed off, the ball entering the forepart of the head, The operation of trepanning was per* tormed, and the bullet removed in a flattened state from impact with the bone. The man is doing well, and there is every prospect of his recovery.
