♦" Messrs Gorton and Son's report on their stock sale at Bulls, as follows:— Very good entries of cattle and sheep camo forward at our Bulls sale on Wednesday last, and the bidding for cattle was keen throughout for which most satisfactory prices were realised. We were, howeyer, obbged to turn out unsold the fine line of beef for which £9 5a was offered. Excepting for ewes and lambs, for which the bidding was rather dull, that for other sheep was spirited and all of that class were sold. We had, however, to turn out some pens of ewes and lambs unsold. Our quotations are : —Cattle.— 4-year, Bullocks, £5 9s 6d; 3-year steers, £4 la to £4 14s ; 2J to 3year steers, £4 6s 6d , 2-year steers, £2 19s 6d to £3 3s 6d ; store cows. £3 7s ; 2 to 2£ year heifers, £3 10s 6d ; forward cows, £4 5s 6d ; weaners, 22s 6d to 295. Sheep.— Fat mixed sheep. 13s 7s to 14s 7d ; fat shorn sheep, 10s 9d ; ewe hoggets, 11s to 12s 9d; wether hoggets, 10s 3d to 12s 6d; mixed hoggets, 12s 6d; ewes and lambs, 13s 6d. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report as follows on the Feilding sale. Yesterday there were large entries of cattle and sheep, and all lines were quitted at satisfactory prices. ; Quotations : Bullocks L 4 Is, to L 4 11s, 2£yr. steers L 3 18s, cows £3 10s to L 3 16s, milch cows, fetched up to L 4 4s, yearlings L 2 4s to L 2 7s 6d, weaners 27s 6d. Sheep : Ewes and lambs 12s 6d to 15s, dry ewes 12s, whethers 14s, wether hoggets 12s to 12s 3d, ewe hoggets 13s 9d, mixed hoggets 13s 6d, shorn wether hoggets 8s 9d, shorn fat ewes 10s. Mr R. S. Abraham of Falmerston, North reports :— Cattle — Pahiatua — Fat, bullocks, £7; 3»year steers, £5; cows and calyes £3 11s ; dairy cows, £5 to £5 12s 6d ; 2-year heifers (poor), £2 12s ; yearling steers, £2 12s ; yearlings steers, £2 4s; 18-months steers, £2 19s. At Falmerston — Fat bullocks, £7, £8. and £9 ; fat cows. L 5 10s ; 3 year steers, L 4 15s 6d ; yearlings, 35s to L 2 10s 6d ; 15* months cattle, L 2 15s ; dairy cows, Lsto L 5 133 6d ; 2-year heifers, L 2 14< 6d. Sheep— At Pahiatua — Mixed hoggets, 11s ; shorn hoggets (small), 7s 4d. At Palmerston— Shorn fat ewes and wethers, 11s 3d to 12b ; ewes and lambs, 12s to 14s 9d ; mixed hoggets. 10s 6d to 13s 6d ; wether hoggets, 11s 6d to 11s lld,welUbred mixed Bomney hoggets, 11s lid to 13s Id.
