The Manchester Rifles held a company parade last night at which there were twenty-five officers, non-commissioned officersandmen. Lieut. Kirton was in command. The corps was exercised in company movements, and afterwards put through the manual, firing, and bayonet exercises by Color Sergt. Evans, Sergts. Bellve and Saywell. Sergt* Petherick have charge cf the squad of recruits. Sergt. Bellve has given formal notice that he will present a medal to be fired for by the recruits who join this month.
