New Zealand Hemp is in poor demand. Seventy bales were sold by auction this week at an advance ot 10s. Despite the rumours of impending failures, the Bradford wool market remains firm at late rates, and a fail amount of business is doing. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) advise the.} have received the following cable fron: their London office, dated London, 12lb August : — The tallow market is unchanged since last cable. Frozen meat— The market is quiet for frozen mutton : Canterbury is worth 3sd per lb, Welling ton is worth JHd per lb. Frozen lamb market firm at si{d per lb.
