Rangitikei Election
MR BRUCE AT THE HARBOUR BOARD BLOCK. Mr Bruce addressed the electors in Mr Pollock's woolsbed ou Saturday evening. There was a fair attendance considering the inclemency of the weather. Mr Joseph Browne occupied the chair. Mr Bruce's address was practically the same us already reported from other places, and he was listened to with great attention throughout. No questions were asked, and a hearty vote of thanks was carried unanimously. A vote of thanks \ to the chairman closed the proceedings. MR STEVENS AT COLYTON HALL. Mr John Stevens addressed the electors ' in the Colyton Hall last night. Mr O. Pleasants presiding, and about 50 per- \ sons being present. Mr Stevens was «-' listened to with groat attention, and was / frequently applauded. After one or two I questions had been replied to, Mr J. H. S Ashworth proposed and Mr Neilson secondod a hearty vote of thanks to, and ' confidence m Mr Stevens as the candidate for the election. On the motion being put it was unanimously carried amidst applause.
