+ The Manchester Bities had a good muster on Thursday night, being a capitation parade. Two new members, Fanthorpe and Coombe, were duly elected. A meeting of the Finance Committee will be held next week. Parades for May are published elsewhere. The death occurred on March 1 last at Phoenix Park, Dublin, of a wearer of the Victoria Cross, named William Lucas. He obtained his decoration in the New Zealand war of 1866, and for many years filled the position of lodge- keeper at Phoenix Park.
