Ten thousand bales of rabbit skins, representing about thirty million pelts, were exported from New Zealand in 1891, and valued at £150,000 ; also forty thousand cases preserved rabbits, value about £60,000, making total value of skins and meat for the year of £210,000. Wellington, This Day, The Land Board passed a lengthy resolution this morning, the effect of which is to exculpate the Pharazyns from the charge of dammyism, but drawing attention of the Minister of Lands to the effect that it appears without contrayeningj the Land Regulations five members of one family can take up 8266 acres of pastoral land in one block.
