STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK REPORT.

Messrs Stevens and Gorton held a most successful stock sale at Feilding yesterday, and the attendance was very large. Cattle of all kinds sold readily, there being a slight improvement in the prices. Wethers were slightly easier, but all other kinds of sheep were firm. One hundred head of cattle and 5750 sheep were yarded, and were all sold but one pen of sheep. The following prices were realised : — Cattle.— Forward bullocks, £i 12s 6d to £4 15s ; year to 18-months, from j-2 6s to £3 7s ; light forward cows, £4 3s. Sheep.— 2-tooth wethers, 10/4 to 11/10 ; 2-tooth ewes, 14/6 ; breeding ewes, 5/8 to 11/5 ; woolly lambs, 7/3 to 9/1 ; shorn i lambs, 5/- to 7/6.
