LOWES & lORN'S STOCK REPORT.
We held our usual sale on Wednesday last, which was well attended notwithstanding a cold south-wester with heavy rain, which commenced to fall as the sale started, continuing the whole afternoon, and making things very unpleasant. The yards contained 9000 sheep, 100 head of cattle, and a dozen horses. The sheep were of good quality, a better average than usual, good prices were realised, hut several pens were passed in, reserves not being reached, which is most unusual with us. Cattle sold at late rates, horses were neglected. Fat wethers realised 12/10 to 13/1; fat ewes (medium), 9/6 to 10/3; youn» ewes, 10/- to 13/-; fresh full-month ewes, 8/6 to 11/6 ; aged ewes, 7/- to 8/-; culls, 5/- to 6s/- ; store wethers, 10/10 to 12/-. Some of the pens of sheep passed in at auction were afterwards sold privately.
