Lamb has risen yd, but frozen meat is otherwise unchanged, New Zealand hemp is in modomte demand ; common kinds hare declined 15s ; superior sorts are unchanged. Tallow. — Market firmer. Fine motion tallow is worth 27s 3d per cwt. Good beef tallow is worth 25s 3d per cwt. Fbozbn Meats.— Beef market is firm. New Zealand beef, forequnrters, are worth, 4d per lb, New Zealand beef, hindquarters, are worth 4fd per lb. Quotations nominal. Mutton market firm. Price of mutton has advanced Jd per lb since last report. Quotations are : Canterbury, 4£d perj lb ; Wellington, 4tfd per lb. Lamb market is easier. Quotations are : Prime New Zealand, per carcase, 6£d per lb. , March 14, Colonial stocks are advancing. Symtey, March 14. Butter, dairy-made, is quoted at Is Id ; factory-made, Is 3d.
