Wednesday Half Holiday

A meeting of employes was held in the reading room of the Savage Glnb on Tuesday night. About twenty-five were present. Mr Milson presided. Proposed by Mr B. F. Haybittle, seconded by Mr Tank, That 500 handbills be printed and distributed among customers and others, notifying to them the Wednesday half holiday, and inviting their co-operation ; and that an advertisexnent to the same effect be published in the Feilding Star. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Collins, seconded by Mr Cornish, That the following form the management committee, viz. : — Messrs Hopkins, Kitchen, Worsfold, and Milson. —Carried. At the inaugural celebration to be held on '2nd, " it was decided to hold a rancy costume cricket maj.cH near the fqwn. The !Fire Brigade will also have competitions, and the Feilding Brass Band will play selections of music during the afternoon. After the usual formal business the meeting adjourned.
