Everybody should go to the circus tomorrow night. Mr Alfred Eade has a characteristic notice in to-day, to which we direct attention. Entries for Messrs Stevens and Gorton's Palmereton and Awahun stock sales are published to-day. A service of song will bo held in the Presbyterian Church on Friday the 19th inst, entitled " The Biver Singers." An advertisement giving full particulars will j be published in our next issue. Messrs F. E. Jackson and Co. will hold a stock sale here on Saturday, and afterwards r .:: the same afternoon at 3.30 they will sell a valuable block of land, part of the estate of the late J. J. Walker. Two exceptionally good sheep farms are advertised for sale by Mr J. Herbert Hankins. solicitor, of Palmerston North. Cobbe and Darragh have purchased a big lot of wholesale samples of towels, umbrellas, carpets, corsets, underskirts, pants, and hosiery. These goods have been bought at a big discount off regular prices, and will be sold cheap for cash. — Advt.
