The animals were part of a shipment from Denmark. In lieu of a commission being setup, the local Government Board will inquire into the best means of averting the spread of influenza. Testa, an American electrician, is exhibiting in London a surprising method of producing electric light from vacuum bulbs without heat. The Eieht Hon. W. H. Mrs Osborne is expected to plead guilty to the charge of false pretences, and appeal for mercy, in which case it is beIreyed she may get off with a short term of imprisonment.
