- r-^ 7— STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK - ->- ; EEPOET. Oar sales last week were held ,at Balls oni the" 13th and at WoodvDlaou the 14th inst. There was a rather small attendance at Balls, and the sale "did ,-npt show much animation. Store'cows/were rather dull of sale, and dry sheep were easier in price. > A pen of shorn prime fat wethers passed at 12s 9d.- We had a full entry of cattle at Woodville, and^ two lines of good wethers. Steer cattle were in strong demand and sold well. One or two pens* of cows were passed in, prices not reaching vendors' expectations. Fat wethers did not sell. We quote as under : — Cattle at -Bulls — 2-year steers, £3 3s 6d'j bullocks, .£6 6s ; fat cows, £5 Is 6d to £5 3s 6d ; forward heifers, £3 ; cows in calf, £2 15s to £3 15 ; milkers, £3 to £6 ; yearlings, 355. Woodville.— Bullocks, L 54s to L 5 8s 6d; 3-year'steers, L 4 15s; 2J-year steers, L 3 14s; 18-months steers, L 2 12s to E3 Is ; store cows, L 3 4s 6d ; Jplfat cows, L 4 11s. _. Sheep at Bulls. — Fat wefliers in ' wool, 16s 8d ; forward wethers, 15s -- lOd; hoggets, 13s 4d to 15s; ewes and lambs, 14s 3d. Horses. — Draught colts, LI 7 ; ponies, L 5 ft) L 6.
