Cheese, 6d to 7d. Bacon, local,sd fo7d; imported, 8d to 9d. Hams —New Zealand.'lOd to lid. Melbourne, September 23. Wheat — Fair average milling, os 9d, nominally 6s to 6s 6d ; no sales recorded. Flour— Stone makes, Ll2 10s to Ll3; roller brands. Ll3 10s to Ll4. Oats ranged from 2s to 2s 7|d, according to quality. Adelaide. September 23. Wheat firm, 5s 2d to 5s 3d. The New Zeal tnd Loan and Mercantile Agency Company ( Limited) have receiyed the following cable advice from their London office, dated 22nd inst : — Wool — Since opening of sales greasy merino superior, medium inferior, medium washed crossbred, medium scoured crossbred, coarse wo shed crossbred, and coarse scoured crossbred are par atfd per 1b lower, and merino superior and scour d merino medium and inferior are £.' to Id per 1b lower. Fine scoured crossbred has declined £d per Ib, and m iim and inferi r merino amb-; Id pc J Ib- Other description £ unchanged The total quantity catalogued to d >te is 170,000 bales, and to<al quantity with» drawn to date is 23,000 bales.
