LPSB UNITED PREBB ASSOCIATION. • London, April 20. Mr F. 0. Licht, sugar expert, estimates that the seven months' beet production will show an increase of 16,000 tons, and that the new campaign will give a surplus of 70,000 tons. The consignment of apples, ex s.s. Arawa from New Zealand, is selling at from 10s to 20s per case. New Zealand rabbitskins, fair to good quality, Is Bd. The wool market continues firm. At the wool sales New Zealand heavy merinos were cheaper. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated 21st inst :— Wool— The attendance of both Home and Foreign buryers is good, and competition is active. For long and staple merino heavy in grease, the market is weak. Other descriptions are unchanged. Up to date 191,000 bales have been sold.
