The delegates from Newfoundland will on Thursday next present their petition to the House if Lord , protesting again Bt. tiie passing of Lord Knutsford's Bill for enforcing the modus vivendi with France. St John's, April 21. The Newfoundland fishermen have attempted to evade the provisions of the bait laws, but the vigilance of the police prevented it, and a serious riot resulted.
