Feilding E.M. Court

Monday, January 26,_ 1891. (Before Messrs Sherwill and Kirton, J.P.s ) DRUNK. John Turner was charged with being drunk. He pleaded guilty, and was fined 5s and 2s costs, ILLEGALLY ON PREMISES. On the information of Constable Tuohey the same accused was charged with being illegally on the premises of Mr Christopher Matthews on Sunday morning. Mr C. Matthews deposed as to the offence, but as the prisoner had expressed great contrition witness desired to withdraw the charge. The police declined, and Turner was fined 20s and 2s costs, in default seven days' imprisonment in Wanganui Gaol. The Court then adjourned.
