[Before His Worship the Mayor (Mr W. G-. Haybittle) and Mr Kirton, J.P.s.] Mrs Jane Fabling and Alice Kennedy were charged with having no lawful visible means of support. The same accused were also charged with keeping and living in a disorderly house. Witnesses having been heard for the prosecution, Mrs Fabling was sentenced to one month's imprisonment in Wanganui gaol on the first charge, and fined £5, or one month on the second charge. I Alice Kennedy was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment in Wanganui gaol on the first charge, and fined 10s, or fourteen days, on the second. The sentences in both cases to be concurrent. The Court then adjourned.
