Feilding School Committee

A meeting of the Feilding State School Committee waß held on Wednesday last. Present — Messrs Lethbridge (chairman),. Watts, Worsfold, Gould and Curtis. The minutes of the previous meeting ware read and confirmed. Correspondence was read as follows : — - From 1 Education Board, stating thai Eleanor Watts had been appointed a cadet as from January 1, 1891, on condition that the usual certificates were forwarded* , From Mr Hill, re additions to residence and permission to build sheds, &c. Applications from Samuel Campbell and Ada-Watts as cadets. From the head teacher a long list of very irregular attendants. - Resolved, That the Chairman forward to Mrs Morpby the head teacher's reply to. her complaint. Proposed by Mr Worsfold, seconded by Mr Gould, That the matter of the irregular attendants be left over till after the holidays with a view of putting the compulsory clausesof the Act in force. Proposed by Mr Gould, seconded by Mr Worsfold, That Samuel Campbell and Ad* Watts be appointed monitors. . '■.
