Exciting Scene in N.S.W. Parliament

A MEMBER BUNDLED OUT OF THE ASSEMBLY. [ PER UNITED PRESB ASSOCIATION. I Sydney, This Day. A scene of unparalelled disorder occurred in the Assembly last night. During the debate in the Committee of Supply Mr W. P. Crick, member for Macquarrie West, was called to order, but defied the Chairman, who ordered him to be arrested. Crick resisted violently, but the Sergt-at-Arms, with the assistance of the other officers, finally succeeded in carrying the recalcitrant member out of the j Chamber, i kiner, fighting and struggling I to the last. The Chairman reported the matter to the Speaker, and Crick was summoned. He asserted he had been ejected by brutal and illegal force. The Speaker ruled him cut of order, when Crick attempted to dissent and was again ordered to be remoyed from the House. As he was leaving he called out : **' You, Mr Speaker, got £2000 for putting the Broken Hill Water Supply Bill through, and the Chairman £'1000 ; you are both thieves and robbers of the oountry." Sir Henry Parkes, with regret, moved, Tbat the severest sentence possible, viz., that of expulsion, be passed. During the debate Crick sent in hiß resignation, which was not submitted to the House. The motion was carried by 63 to 10, aud Crick's Beat declared vacant.
