Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association .» — - — The annual show of the above Association opened iv Palmerston yesterday in splendid weather and a* large attendance. Tbe entries are very numerous as the following list will show — Sheep, 200 ; cattle, 63 ; horses, 149 ; poultry, 46 ; dogs 47 ; pigs, 21 ; vehicles, 33 ; implements, 139. A splendid display of the latter is given, amongst which the following are very noticeable: — Wood's reaper and binder, for whom Mr W. G. Haybittle is the local agent; Mr C. We were glad to see the creat numbers of Feildina people, and residents in the back settle nents, goinsr *o tde Manawatu A. and P. Association Show this morning. The morning train to the Paimerston Show was oue of the largest which has loft Feilding for some time. There were 750 people on board from the North and 203 booked at Feilding. It was expected 200 more would be taken up at Aorangi and Taonui, so that when the tram arrived at Palmerston nearly 1200 would be detrained.
