Rev Charles Clark
It is hardly necessary to remind our readers of the great intellectual feast in store for all those who attend at the Assembly Rooms this evening, when the great premier orator, the Bey. Charles Clark, will give his famons " New Dickens Entertainment." Nor is it necessary to dilate for one moment of his marvellous elocutionary powers. " Good wine needs no bush," and Charles Clark, of all men, needs no puff, the announcement of his name always acting like a magnet in drawing eager and delighted crowds around him. We would, however, strongly counsel eyery one to attend in good time to-night, not only in order to secure a good seat, but especially to prevent any interruption which might tend to the discomfort of the lecturer and the audience, as we understand Mr Clark will commence punctually at 8 o'clock. The doors will be opened a quarter of an hour earlier than usual, viz., at 7.10.
