Tqk death is advised from London of the Duke Of Manchester, who was one of the principal founders of this settlement, which bears his name. William Drogo Montague, seventh Duke of Manchester, was born. in 1823. He was, at one time captain of the (jrenadier Guards and a colonel of Militia. He married the Countess d'Alten. • His estate is put down at 27,812 acres, and his rent roll at He was patron of seven livings. He had ,£45,000 personalty left him by his predecessor. He is succeeded by his eldest son, Viscount Mandeville. The late Duke paid a visit to Feilding a few years ago, where he had considerable landed interests. •
