"La Fille de Madame Angot"
The Seymour- Walshe Opera Company produced " La Fille de Madame Angbt" last night to a. good audience. Miss Seymour filled the title role and did her.parl the- fullest justice, Miss Ethel Mackay. duplicated the parts of Ainaran the and L'Anga, and 'scored every -point in eachV; Mr Walshe as Auge Pitsu was iir-exoellen'r, voice. Fred England as Larivaudiere was amusing, and Mr Erskine .Scott was at home in .the character of Poinpoilnet. The other parts were all excellent and we regret that pressure on our space precludes our giving them separate notice. At the full of the curtain Mr Walshe came forward and said that the company would return in about a couple of months. This announcement was received, with loud cheers, which was certainly the highest, compliment that has ever yet been paid to any company by a Feilding audience. Mr Walshe in concluding his brief address drew attention to the play " Ten Nights in a Bar Boom" to be produced in tho Assembly Rooms next week, and hoped the conductor, Mr R. F. Haybittle, would be liberally patronised as the object was a deserving one.
