The concluding competition for the company prizes, of the Manchester Kities took place ou Saturday. The following ' were the winners :*— GolorSergt. Bilderbeck, 144 points, gold cross; Vol. - Humphres, 134 points, silver cross; Sergt Henson, 133 points bronze cross. They will be presented on an early date to be" arranged byCapt Pleasants, after the inscriptions have been placed on them. Several recruits will be sworn in to the corps at the beginning of next year, and advantage will be taken of this accession of numbers to eliminate from the roll certain members who have not been regular, in their attendance at capitation parades. A few others whose " chattering proclivities"- in the ranks have made them uudesirable members, will be given the option of resigning, or of giving guarantees of more dscreet behaviour in the future. The duty charged on the medals won on -aturday, by our paternal Government, was 20a.
