The present contractor has abandoned the attempt to raise the steamer Centennial, which was sunk by collision with the steamer Kanahaka some months ago. Bri>bank, Dec. 2. The steamer Koonoo-warra came into collision with the steamer Raneleigh off Maryborough last night. The latter vessel received considerable damage, a great gap being cut in her side, but her watertight compartments prevented her sinking. One of the crew was pinned in his. bunk as he lay asleep, and was terribly burned by the bursting of a kerosene lamp- :;' The. Koonoowarra was not seriously damaged by the accident. -:•••
