On the arrival of the steamer Jubilee from Sydney, Gould (the passenger who js alleged to have escaped from the steamer Tarra,' of Melbourne) will he examined by the Health Officer. Nothing can be done to intercept him unless hVis proved to be actually suffering from the disease, as Sydney is not declared an infficted port. The ageuts of the Jubilee have received a cable message from Syddey stating that Gould as not" identical with the Tarra passenger. The Irish delegates addressed an immense audience in the Opera House tonight. The chair was taken by the Hon. P." Buckley, and on the platform were Archbishop .Rod wood, and a large number of the clergy and prominent citizens. A letter was read from Sir Harry Atkiuson apologising for- non-attendahico and explaining that' he agreed^ with the reaolutibns which were to be proposed at the meeting. During the meeting a subscription list was opened m aid of the Evicted Tenants' Keliof Fund, and nearly £200 were collected. Archbishop Bedwood gave £20, the Hon. Mr Buckley: £20, and St. Patrick's College £30. -Mr Dillon, Sir Thomas Eemoude arid Mr Deasy also addressed the meeting, and J were accorded a very, hearty welcome. At the conclusion of the meeting, resolur tions were carried expressing sympathy with the Home Rule movement. a ;
