Various descriptions of potatoe rule from £4 to £5 10/- per ton ; I rye grass seed, 4/6 per bushel ; cocksfoot, 3d per lb; Tartarian oats, 3/2 to 3/5 ; white and red clovers, 6d to 8d per lb; feed oats remain unchanged at 3/-; oatmeal, £14 10/-; whole fowls' wheat, 3/3 to 3/6 ; broken, 2/6 2/9; stone flour sacks, £8 10/ to £9 5/- ; roller do, £10 5/- ; bran, £4 5/« ; pollard, £4 10/- ; feed barley, 3/- to 3/3 ; pearl barley, £19 ; field peas, 3/9 ; beans, 3/9 ; maize, 3/3 to 3/6 ; potatoes, £4 10/ to £4 15/-; onions, 3d to 3£d ; cheese, 2d to s£d ; fresh butter, 9d ; salt do, 2d to 6d ; hams, and bacon, 8d ; due farmers' cure, 5d to 6d. Prices for fruit show a general reduction, which is rather difficult to account for,- as the markat is not overstocked; probably the present keen competition among fruiterers, may a< c mnt for the temporary receding of values, oranges in good order ruled from 6/to 8/6 ; lemons, 8/- to 9/- ; mandarins 8/- to 12/- ; loquats, 5/- ; Hobart apples, 8/- to 10/-; a large quantity of bananas, are offering to-day at prices from 2/6 te 4/- per bunch ; cocoanuts, 7/6. Fowls are in fair request at 2/9 ; ducks, 3/6 ; geese, 6/- ; turkeys, 6/to 6/6 per pair.
