Beef came forward in average supply, and with the exception of a few pens the quality waa only moderate aod not equal to late consigumeuts. The bidding was good, the sales effected being rather better thau last market. Vealers were at late values. The sheep pens contained about the usual number. None of the entries were first-class, but the demand waa good for all soita. Beef made 12/6 the 1001 b; weather mutton 2£d to 2JI ; ewe mutton, 2d per lb. Quotations : — Cattle. —Bullocks from £4 2/6 to £5 15/- the different averages being £5 4/2, £4 1 l/l, and £4 3/3 ; vealers, 14/- to 20/, Sheep.— Wethers, 12/- to 13/3 ; ewes, 10/7 to 10/10; light ewes, 9/2 9/5.
