Football
The following team has been selected to represent Feilding against the Marton team on Saturday, at Marton : — Robinson, Parr, Harmer, Fowler, Lang, R. Whisker, Iveson, J. Whisker, Bray, Hodges, Terry, Gregory, Evans, J. and M. Belfit. Emergencies — Backs, Horßford or Henry ; forwards, Kitchen, Fanthorpe, and Keightly.
Should any of the above players find they are unable to go tbey are requested to inform the Secretary at once. The team will leave by the 12.30 train.
Matches will be arranged with Bulls, Sandon, Halcombe, and Awahuri teams for the second fifteen players.
A special meeting of the Feilding Football Club was held last night at the Empire Hotel, about fourteen members were present. Mr Lethbridge presiding. Mr C H. Saywell's resignation of the Captaincy and other appointments held by him in the Club was accepted with regret.
Messrs R. H. Whisker, Gregory, and Harmer were nominated for the post of Captain, and after being balloted for Mr R. H. Whisker was duly elected.
