Meeting of Ratepayers at Bunnythorpe
A meeting of ratepayers of No. 5 ward Manchester Road District was held last night at Bunnythorpe, Mr Poole presided. The candidates, Messrs Bull and Pearce both addressed the meeting. Mr Bull gave an account of his past actions on the Board. Mr Pearce gave an outline of what he would do if elected. He was in favor of spending the money voted on roads scheduled, and waiting for the legalisation of the railway road. Mr Macarthur gave his account of the past transactions of the Board relative to the roads in No. 5 ward. The meeting was orderly, and each speaker received a patient hearing. The usual compliment to the chair terminated the proceedings.
