At a Committee meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club last night, it was resolved to recommend to the Programme Committee £5000 for allocation at the Exhibition race meeting. The" principal race of the first day to be a mile and seven furlongs, for which £1500, £300, and £200 will constitute the prizes ; the main race on the second day to be a mile and a half, and the third day a mile and a quarter. Wellington, This Day. The deliberations of the Sheep Inspectors concluded last night. They have made numerous recommendations in the direction of amending Sheep, Cattle, Babbit, and Branding Acts, principally in matters of detail. In veboabgill, April 13. His neck was broken. On the bridge were his horse, coat, hat and watoh. The appearances leave no doubt of Buioide. He jumped about 30ft into shallow water. Financial difficulties are supposed to be the cause of his act.
