In the case of Jjavinia Dines, whose body was exhumed some time ago and evidence of malpractice exhibited, the jury to-day at first returned a verdict of murder against Dr Smith and wife. The Coroner asked the jury to consider whether in their opinion drugs were administered for the purpose of causing abortion. The jury, after a further consideration, then amended their verdict to the effect that the deceased died from perforation of the intestines, but that there was no evidence to shew how it was caused. The returns of bread stuffs for the week show that 1400 tons of wheat were imported from. New Zealaad, a quantity double that receiyed from any' other colony. Adelaide, April 12.
