(per united press association.) Auckland, December 7. The man Bryant, whom the police have been pursuing in the bush for some days on a charge of an attempted indecent assult, has been captured. An agent in town is offering over 4s per bushel for the wheat crop to be harvested in February next, paying 25 per cent in adyance. An agent at Hamilton has an order for 9000 sacks at 4s 6d per bushel, delivered at any railway station in the Waikato. Wellington, December 7. In the case of Milverton v. Borough of Palraerston, the latter obtained an order for a review of the plaintiff's costs. Excellent prospects are being obtained from the Golden Spur claim. Ohhistchtbch, December 7. Trout fishmg in the Selwyn last night waß of a most extraordinary character. It happened to be a most favorablo over.mg. In about three hours, between 60 and 60 fish wero caught by several parties. During the evening the river was the scene of heavy splashes. Tabart, and the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Merino wethers, full-mouthed, realised Is 3d ; four and six-toothed, 3s 6d ; four-toothed, 4s 3d to 6s. The sheep looked fairly well. In a statement filed by F. \V. Wilkinson, ironmonger, a bankrupt, the liabilites are set down at i! 8158, of which .£6095 are unsecured.
