♦ We. are informed, by the Post, that a number of energetic volunteers contemplate getting up a grand military tournament in connection with the Wellington and Wairarapa corps on the Prince of Wales' Birthday. Officers commanding corps will be asked to co-operate, and there is no doubt if properly carried out on the usual military lines, the affair should he a success. A meeting will be called at an early date, when the promoters have arranged the programme and situ. A member of the Manchester Rifles has been fined £ I for sending in his rifle in a dirty condition.
