(From Manawatu Times.) A sitting of the above court was held at Palmerston on Wednesday before his Honor Judge Rawson. BANKRUPTCY. Re O. Henry — Mr Staite appeared for the debtor, and asked that a time be* fixed for his public examination as hewas in gaol on a charge of f atony, and he had also learnt from the D.O. A. that the examination could not come on that day. PUBBLIO EXAMTTATION. The D.O.A. asked that this case bead jour ned, as debtor is in custody, Thomas Stewart. — Mr Sandilands appeared on behalf of tbe debtor, and . said that the creditors were not going: on with public examination. Casestruck out. APPLICATION FOR MBCHARGFE. Arthur Kirke and Winiata Pataka,. adjourned until next sittings of the Court, Re Robert Parr — Mr Prior appeaaredf for the debtor. Mr T. Wood appeared to* oppose* his discharge. The report of the D.O. A. was read*,, which was very unfavorable; to> tbade btor. Debtor examined by Mr Wood 1 ,, said he had nothing to show what had become of the sum of LBCQ> or L9oft which he had received.. The D.O.A. said that at the; publicexamination the debtor had acknowledged having received certain) sums; of money, which, altogether-, amounted to a very large sum, but there- was nothing in hie books to* show what had become of the money. The wholeestate had only realised LIO, and that was aU there waa to divide amongst the creditors-. He said that the debtor had been criminally careless, as hehad been conclusively proved that hehad transactions in Palmerston Nortb to the amount of about LSOO, of which he had kept no account. Hewould therefore oppose* dischargeuntil he had paid his preferenceclaims.

Examined by Mr Prior : I come- toPalmerston on the recommendation of Mr Wood, who is now opposing my discharge.

His Honor said that he* thought that he would not be justified in granting the discharge at present, but might do so in two or three years" time. The discharge was refused.
